About us

About us

Launched in May 2008, ITslaves (www.itslaves.com) is a new,  open-minded community for IT and software engineers, consultants, network and database specialists, with a focus on those of us who are working in Central Europe.

We want to provide you with the space for sharing your experiences, both positive and negative ones, the "stuff" that you have collected throughout your career, while doing so in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We want to become a strong, professional platform offering space for creative discussions while allowing for a rich exchange of information among our members.

This community was created as a direct reaction to the lack of space for IT specialists in Central Europe where one can meet and exchange knowledge, ideas and information, not only related to computing, but also to work environment and conditions for the industry in general.

Our aim is to become the number one ranking web site focusing on IT employers and to bring to our users the added value of feedbacks on IT companies. Gathering the complex information and building the value itself is an ongoing process which requires a lot of effort and commitment not only from our side but also from our users.

Founder of our community, Mr. Bo Gustav Stahlbrandt has spent over 25 years in the IT field. His career started at a young age where he worked late hours programming older Norsk Data and VAX computers at the Uppsala Technical University (Sweden), the city in which he also studied electronics.
He has spent the last 15 years mainly in southern Germany where he has designed and deployed systems mainly for the European finance and logistics industry. He has held VP, CTO and CEO hats in several startup companies since the early 90's.

He launched the photography community Nikonians in January 2000 together with J. Ramón Palacios, the largest community for Nikon users in the world. In May 2006 he launched the software engineering company enprovia with main office in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Pleasant and friendly atmosphere here in our community is ensured by Your ITslaves team – Dana, Mária, Federico, Peter, Martin and Marcel who take care of technical issues, forum and content.
We are looking forward to seeing you around!

ITslaves gives you the possibility to review companies you have worked for and to help others to get useful information.
